What does Ski-Chic.com offer ?

Ski-Chic.com offers ski outfits to rent, including a jacket, trousers, goggles and a pair of gloves, delivered according to the delivery method chosen:
- to your accommodation in the resort the day before your first rental day until the end of your last rental day.
- to a relay point at a Precision Ski or Ski Republic store the day before your first rental day until the end of your last rental day.
- to your home via chronopost delivered to D-3 before your first rental day, to be delivered to a post office until 24 hours after your last rental day with the prepaid return voucher provided.

What is the rental period ?

The service is currently available from 2 to 15 days of rental, with delivery the day before your first rental day and return at the end of your last rental day.

What is the best time to book ?

We work on a "first come, first served" basis and have fixed stock throughout the season, with no price fluctuations. This is why we advise you to book as early as possible to ensure the widest possible choice.

When do I need to return my package according to the delivery method ?
-
- Relay point delivery around the house. Drop off your outfit in a relay point in two days after the end of the rental. Consult the Chronopost relay point.
- Delivery everywhere in France :
- For a direct home delivery. Drop off your outfit in a relay point around your house in two days after the end of the rental.
- For a direct accommodation delivery, in ski resort. At the end of your last rental day, drop off your outfit at the reception of your accommodation.
- Delivery to one of our partner stores in ski resort. At the end of your last rental day, drop off your outfit at this same partner that you have chosen for the delivery.
As a reminder, simply return your package with the return coupon and re use the delivery box.

When my order is delivered according to the delivery method ?

- Relay point delivery around the house. You will be able to get back your outfit in a relay point two days before the first day of rental.
- Delivery everywhere in France :
- For a direct home delivery. Receive your outfit two days before the first day of rental.
- For a direct accommodation delivery, in ski resort. The delivery will be made the day before your first day of rental.
- Delivery to one of our partner stores in ski resort. Get back your outfit in ski resort, the day before the first day of rental, at one of our partners stores Ski Republic or Précision Ski.

How does Ski-Chic.com guarantee the authenticity of my order ?

When you receive your Ski-Chic package, it will be closed by a security seal, which will prove that no one has opened it since it left the warehouse. You just need to break the seal and enjoy your outfit.

What happens if there is a problem with my package (wrong item/size) ?

If your package does not correspond to what you ordered or your outfit does not fit, please contact our customer service team straight away. They will do their best to find a solution and provide you with a replacement from the day after your delivery (up to 50€ of delivery costs may apply).

Where can I find my order number ?

Your order number will be in the confirmation email you receive. If you have deleted this email, you can also find it in your customer area.
Inspection, damage, theft

How does Ski-Chic.com guarantee the quality and security of the products ?

At Ski-Chic.com, we attribute great importance to the quality of the products we provide to our customers. This is why we inspect them twice between uses. First, we inspect the items when they are returned from the previous wearer, then we check them when they are being packaged up to be worn again. Any product that does not meet our quality standards is removed from our stock. In addition, to guarantee our customers that they are the first to use their package, we attach a security seal to it, so that the customer knows that he or she is the first to open the package.

What happens if an item gets damaged ?

These are unfortunate circumstances. That is why we offer you the opportunity to take out extra insurance to be covered against any light or serious damage to the hired clothes and accessories. In any other situation, like a slight stain or tear, we will do all we can to repair/remove it, with possible repair fees to be paid. In the case of large rips that make the item unusable, you will be asked to pay the retail price of the item

What happens if an item is lost or stolen ?

These are very unfortunate circumstances. In all cases like this, our insurance cannot even cover it, therefore you will be asked to pay the retail price of the item. It doesn't prevent you to get in touch with your own personal insurance and investage how you could possiibility get a refund for the damage (especially in case of theft).

When will my package be delivered to my accommodation ?

Delivery takes place in the late afternoon, after 5pm. There are two possible scenarios:
- 1.You have not yet arrived at your accommodation, so we will drop off your order at the front desk of your accomodation, so that you get it as soon as you arrive.
- 2. You have already arrived: in this case, one of our delivery drivers will come to meet you to give you your order in person. Deliveries take place between 5pm and 8pm. You will be kept in the loop in real time via email and/or text message about your exact delivery time.

How do you choose the outfits offered by Ski-Chic.com

Each outfit is hand-selected in collaboration with stylists specialised in the world of skiwear. They select outfits that combine the latest trends with comfort, technical innovation, and esthetics.
Quality of items

How do you check the outfit's condition ?
-
After each use, the items are inspected when they are returned. They are then washed. Finally, we carry out another inspection before sending the package to its new wearer.

How many times have the outfits been worn ?
-
Each outfit can only be worn a maximum of 10 times. They are then removed from our stock to be donated to developing countries or sold privately. In that cas, we ensure that, before every delivery, the items are in perfect condition. If somehow one of our outfit wouldn't fit our quality criterias anymore, we remove it, even if it still hasn't reached the 10 uses.

Who cleans the products ?

To guarantee the excellence of our products, we work closely with dry cleaning companies that specialise in the treatment of technical clothing. This way, we preserve the technical and esthetic quality of all our products.
Finding the right size

Are the sizes similar for all brands ?
-
Definitely not! This is why we advise our customers to be careful when choosing a size. The S jacket from Fusalp is not the same size as the S jacket from Quiksilver. Therefore, we recommend that our customers thoroughly check the sizes when changing brands.

How can I make sure I choose the best size ?

At Ski-Chic.com, we are aware that sizing is a real consideration for our customers. This is why we invested massivly in technology to assist our customers with two tools :
- 1. A technological tool to help you to choose the best size: On each product details page, you will be asked to enter your age, height and weight. Our software will automatically process your details with the technical characteristics of our products in order to offer you the most appropriate size for your body. Please note that this technology is only available to help you choose a jacket and trousers.
- 2. Very accurate size guides for each outfit and each item. They are there to assist you in your choice of jacket, trousers, goggles and gloves.
We generally advise our customers to pick the bigger size if they are in doubt over which size to choose.

Is it dangerous to use rental clothing in the current context ?

According to the WHO, the virus cannot live more than a few hours on a surface. With the cleaning process explained above, each of our outfits spend a minimum of 72 hours in transit between uses. By using our service, the probability of contracting the virus is impossible. For more information about good practice, go to WHO

Is the cancellation policy evolving in this current context ?

She evolves ! In this particular context, we have reduce the free cancellation period from 14 days to just 7 days ! After this period, only the subscribers of a cancellation insurance, being able to justify their cancellation, will be able to claim a full refund.

What hygiene measures are being adopted in the current context ?
-
Because of our activity, we pay a particular attention to the treatment of our clothes and accessories even before the Covid 19. Each product is disinfected and washed before each new rental. Throughout this process, our handlers wear gloves and masks to guarantee a perfect hygiene. Finally, a minimum of 24 hours passing between the preparation of your outfit and the moment you get it back: enough to eliminate the last remaining risks !
